Research data in the humanities, Hamburg September 15-18, 2015

Humanities Infrastructure for Sustainability ( gwin project is organizing the conference “Research Data in the Humanities” ( FORGE 2015 ) at the University of Hamburg from September 15 to 18, 2015.

Key topics will be:

  • Sustainability for research data and applications
  • Subject-specific repositories
  • Networking, associations and initiatives>
  • Research data infrastructures vs. data centers
  • Operating and business models (Who should pay for it?)
  • Visibility of research data
  • Legal issues

As part of the conference, a trade fair on technology for research data in the humanities will take place. Programmfabrik will be presenting easydb software for the department, at its stand. The solution supports the merging of media and data, their use for research and teaching, and also their presentation to the outside world.
