New easydb Case Study: Syrian Heritage Archive Project

The Syrian Heritage Archive Project is a cooperation project between the Museum for Islamic Art of the National Museums in Berlin and the German Archaeological Institute (DAI). The project is funded by the Cultural Preservation Program of the German Federal Foreign Office and supported by the Friends of the Museum of Islamic Art.

The project team is working on the scientific documentation of Syrian cultural monuments. The cultural assets are systematically indexed and digitally archived in a easydb database. This is intended as a contribution to the international cultural property register of Syrian monuments. Experts worldwide are trying to counteract the erasure of valuable monuments through careful documentation.

With the case study we present the Syrian Heritage Archive Project and at the same time want to draw attention to the team's commitment.
