Digital Cultural Heritage October 28-30, 2015

The digitization of cultural assets is no longer a completely new topic, but it is one that is receiving increasing attention. UNESCO committed itself to preserving digitalizable cultural heritage as early as 2003. The events in Syria have made people even more aware of the fragility of cultural assets in relation to external influences.

To counteract this, CyArk, a non-governmental organization, has set itself the goal of completely digitizing 500 cultural sites. Vice President Elizabeht Lee announced last week in an interview with Deutschlandradio Kultur that 90 cultural sites had already been digitized. CyArk took place in Berlin last week .

The topic of digital cultural assets is also the subject of this week's Digital , which is currently taking place in the Berlin State Library. Programmfabrik is on site to take part in current questions and discussions. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about implementing projects with easydb .
