MUTEC Leipzig November 10-12, 2016
MUTEC is the international trade fair for Museum and exhibition technology. It is organized together with denkmal – the leading European trade fair for monument preservation, restoration and renovation of old buildings. The complementary trade fairs will take place on the same date from November 10th to 12th, 2016 in Leipzig at the exhibition grounds.
The trade fair is aimed at international experts, decision-makers and investors from museums, exhibition halls, Archive , libraries and other cultural institutions. The core topics include modern options for presentation and digitalization. The trade fair is framed by a specialist program that provides insights into practice and practical experience through workshops and lectures.

Technical lecture
We are pleased about the technical contribution from Dr. Michael Merkel – Head of Collections at the Archaeological Museum Hamburg – City museum Harburg | Helm's museum . Dr. Merkel provides insights into the development of an archaeological specialist info system for the AMH. the Museum has taken on the task of developing an IT concept for the entire building and harmonizing Museum
Workshop
In the afternoon we offer a workshop on easydb 5 technology . You will gain insight into the innovations in database technology for collection and media management. How are media and collection objects stored in a database? What options does rights management for controlling data and user rights? How can the data model be adapted to changing requirements without programming? These and other questions will be focused on in the workshop.
