New client: Academy project “Research Continuity and Continuity Research”
The academy project " Research Continuity and Continuity Research. Basic Research on Settlement Archaeology on the Iron Age in the Baltics " is an interdisciplinary and internationally oriented research project. The results will be compiled in an archaeological atlas that will provide a catalog-like commentary on the relevant Baltic sites. At the same time, the region's shared cultural heritage of pre-1945 archaeology will be permanently digitally preserved. The project is led by the Center for Baltic and Scandinavian Archaeology in Schleswig and the Museum of Prehistory and Early History of the Berlin State Museums – Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation . The project is planned for 18 years and is funded by the Mainz Academy of Sciences and Literature .
easydb is used as a research database for the scientific presentation and management of archival materials, finds, and other sources from the former PrussiaMuseum in Königsberg. At the same time, the find sites are being reconstructed from the sources and digitally recorded, creating a local thesaurus for the archaeology of the former province of East Prussia.
We are very pleased to be able to support this important project as a technical service provider.
