14th Annual Conference for University Collections: “University Collections on the Move”

From October 5th to 7th, 2023, experts will meet in the main building of the University of Bonn to discuss the opportunities and challenges of analog and digital relocations of university collections. While physical moves are challenging due to renovations, dissolutions or mergers, they also offer the opportunity to modernize and reposition. At the same time, the focus is on digital moves and the optimization of database systems. The conference offers a platform for exchanging experiences, new approaches and best practices. Workshop on October 6th: easydb in the context of digital moves and knowledge architectures

As part of the collection conference, a workshop entitled “Digital moves and portals: opportunities and challenges of decolonizing knowledge architectures (databases)” is on the program on October 6, 2023. As speakers, Judith Blume and Sebastian Burger from the University of Frankfurt and Anna-Maria Brandstetter and Lisa Roemer from the University of Mainz share their expertise and experiences. Both universities use easydb for collection management.
