Presentation at the 11th DAM partner meeting of CDS Gromke
A look into the future of Digital Asset Management
On September 1, 2023, Sebastian Klarmann , the commercial director of Programmfabrik , presented Info and findings in the area of Digital Asset Management ( DAM ) as part of the 11th DAM Partner Meeting at CDS-Gromke.
The main points of the lecture included:
- An introduction to “ fylr Programmfabrik ’s media and metadata repository , which enables the setup of individual data models without programming.
- Historical and current perspectives on the Programmfabrik , including Commercial details and partnerships.
- An overview of the technical features and license structure of “ fylr ”.
- A deeper look into the “Census Project,” which traces the transformation from physical index cards to a comprehensive online database over a period of 75 years.
Furthermore, the semantic data models from Census, such as CIDOC CRM and SARI Reference Data Models, were presented during the lecture. These models are important for art historical research and analysis.
