What is a DAM system?
A Digital Asset Management ( DAM ) system is a system for the structured management of digital content. In contrast to an image database, whose primary objective is to manage images, the DAM system is able to handle all types of digital content. These include, among others, images, graphics, videos, documents, PDFs and music files.
Areas of application of DAM systems
A Digital Asset Management system can be used wherever Digital Asset are worked and content (data) is archived.
