What are Digital Humanities?
Digital Humanities refers to interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary subjects that combine the humanities and Info science. Computer-aided procedures and methods as well as digital media are used or developed to answer questions in the humanities.
The core tasks include, among other things, the provision of digital editions, text mining or the visualization of data as well as scientific theoretical findings.
Databases can be used both as a working environment for data storage and can also be the subject of theoretical knowledge gain.
DHd “Digital Humanities in German-speaking Areas” association was founded in 2013 as a formal interest group and forum for the field of work . The association meets once a year as part of an international conference .
